Structural composition
• Tunnel-type furnace body: provides a closed space for drying, generally a long channel structure, made of metal material, with multiple layers of reflective plates inside to reflect infrared light and improve the utilization rate of light energy.
• Infrared heating system: is the core part, including infrared heating tubes. Infrared heating tubes can emit infrared rays, which can be absorbed by solvent molecules in ink, causing them to quickly heat up and evaporate to achieve the purpose of drying. The heating tubes are distributed on the top, bottom or both sides of the tunnel furnace to ensure uniform heating.
• Conveyor system: mainly composed of conveyor belts and drive motors. Conveyor belts are generally made of high-temperature resistant materials, such as Teflon conveyor belts, for conveying printed products. The drive motor controls the speed of the conveyor belt to adjust the drying time of the printed product in the furnace.
• Ventilation system: includes air inlet and exhaust port, the air inlet introduces fresh air, and the exhaust port discharges air containing solvent vapor to ensure air circulation in the furnace, which is conducive to the volatilization of solvents and the improvement of drying efficiency.
• Control system: controlled by PLC or intelligent temperature controller, it can set and adjust parameters such as temperature and conveyor belt speed, monitor equipment status, and have fault alarm and other functions.
Working principle
The printed product enters the tunnel drying furnace through the conveyor belt, and the infrared heating system emits infrared rays, which penetrate the ink layer. The solvent in the ink absorbs the infrared energy and the temperature rises, and it evaporates quickly. The ventilation system discharges the air containing solvent vapor and introduces fresh air at the same time. As the conveyor belt moves, the printed product completes the drying process and is output from the outlet.
